Using Baby Down Fibres on Your Reborn Doll

These baby down fibres create a soft, realistic skin texture with a subtle, fluffy baby-like effect.
Apply them onto the still-wet layer of varnish on your reborn before baking.

Instructions:

  1. Apply a thin layer of varnish to the desired area of your reborn (for example, the face, hands, or legs).

  2. While the varnish is still wet, use a detail brush to pick up a small amount of baby down fibres.

  3. Gently apply the fibres to the areas where you want a soft, downy look — such as the forehead, temples, or neck.

  4. Use your brush to guide the direction of the fibres for a natural appearance.

  5. Tip: spread a small amount of fibres on a piece of paper towel beforehand so you can pick up only a minimal amount with your brush.

  6. Then bake the part as usual, following the instructions for your chosen varnish or paint.

Result:
After baking, the reborn’s skin will have a soft, lifelike appearance with a delicate baby-fluff effect.
